Childbirth Educators Training Course
Educational Philosophy
Birthing Rites Australia believes that the training for professionals in the field of childbirth education and counselling must involve the whole person, not just theoretical knowledge. Working with families at a most profound time in their lives - the birth of their children (and sometimes the loss) demands a deeply sensitive, wise educator who has begun their own journey with awareness and self-responsibility.
NACE (National Association Childbirth Education) is currently defining criteria to streamline training for childbirth educators and the Birthing Rites training course more than meets those criteria. It is the longest training course available with an extensive practical component.
The Birthing Rites programs educate students to become effective 'change agents', whether working with individuals, couples, families, groups, organisations or communities.
We believe educators and counsellors can only be effective change agents if they themselves have undergone the self-exploration that leads to change. Therefore, an integral component of our program is the focus on self-development and growth. This feature of Birthing Rites Australia program complements and supports both the theoretical undertaking and development of practical skills. It is also a significant contributor to the unique Birthing Rites Australia culture for which we are well known.
Birthing Rites Australia attracts students who are especially motivated to achieve excellence in their careers. Our stimulating and unique approach to training leads to highly successful careers and positions - many of our graduates work in private practice, in community organisations, and in hospitals, both public and private. We offer training which is highly regarded by both professionals and participants.
To enhance your learning we provide you with varies speakers whom have talents, knowledge and wisdom to add to your learning, from midwives with particular specialities, obstetricians, hypnotherapy, naturopathic, primal therapists, infant massage, and so much more.
"Education is meant to help you realise your individuality. It should bring to maturity the talent that already waits dormant within you, invisible, inaudible, untorched." - Dawn Markoud
