What topics are covered in the classes?
Classes provide in-depth discussions and resources in regard to the lifetime parenting of your children. Guest speakers cover topics such as breastfeeding with the Australian Breastfeeding Association, settling techniques with Karitane, baby massage and looking at the changes that you go through once the baby is born.
We also consider your child’s future and development, covering such topics as education, the developmental process, immunization and general health and wellbeing.
We have found over the years that lifetime networks and friendships are developed through our extended family environment. Through groups and services such as these, people are now creating their own community of family and friends.

Rainbow Baby Group
The Rainbow Baby Group is a Rudolf Steiner inspired baby group. It is a structured play group with songs, games, rhymes and a diverse range of topics related to Steiner’s thoughts on raising a child.
Who is Rudolf Steiner?
Rudolf Steiner ( 1861-1925) was a scientist, philosopher, artist, architect and educator. He was the founder of the Anthroposophy Philosophy & Bio Dynamic farming.
He believed that the early years of a child’s life are vital in creating a foundation for the future growth on the whole child’s physical body. Young children trust the world around them completely and absorb each and every impression with great openness.
We, the parents hold the responsibility in understanding the child’s developmental needs - physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual - and establish a healthy foundation for the rest of their lives.
Steiner is quoted saying: ”Accept the children with reverence, educate with love, send them forth in freedom.”
From what age can my child attend?
We encourage parents to come from about 3 months to approximately 1 years old.
Why would my child benefit from this group?
Our group aims to shed a new light on conscious parenting and how to understand and engage with their baby.We give a safe warm environment that nourishes the child as well as the adult.
We hope that every group feels like a small drop of homeopathic medicine. A drop of a warmth nurturing goodness which helps their beautiful beings to blossom.
When & where are these groups held?
They are held fortnightly on Thursdays at Birthing Rites. They run for a approximately one hour. Currently there is a morning session and lunchtime session. Places are filling quick. Currently the price is $15 per session.
